Jalan-Jalan Carik Sarapan di Subang Ria Restaurant : Baby wants Mee Curry

Our Jalan-Jalan Carik Sarapan today brings us to Kelana Jaya. "Baby" as we call our little bud, somehow is becokning some decent Mee Curry and truth be told I have not tasted a decent one since moving away from Ipoh.

I guess that is the problem as a Malay when you grew up on Mee Curry Daud Mat Jasak or even Char Kueh Teow or Beef Noddle Soup from Restoran New Hollywood in Canning Garden.

The thing about being in Ipoh, When it comes to food, racial boundaries are practically non- existent.

So when I mentioned this to some friends recently and said, hey you know there is one similar to the ones in Ipoh, I had to put my JJCS gear on and head there .

How Do You Get There?

Luckily I had jotted down directions from Google Map as DH's Garmin went into error near the Bridge :P

  • Head east on Lebuhraya Persekutuan
  • Take the ramp to Lebuhraya Damansara - Puchong
  • Keep left at the fork to continue toward Lebuhraya Damansara - Puchong and merge onto Lebuhraya Damansara - Puchong
  • Take the exit toward Jalan Majlis
  • Turn right at Jalan Majlis
  • Take the 3rd left onto Jalan SS 5a/14
  • Take the 2nd left onto Jalan SS 5a/9

If you live in Subang Jaya its not that far. Roughly about 20 mins (well we were there during Wesak Day and DH was uber suprise at the traffic that morning)

It's a corner store located behind the Wisma FAM and football field.

Here you will find gastronomical delight of those growing up in Ipoh and Penang. Let the Photos do the talking eh!

Popiah (Ipoh Style) & Yong Tau Fu

Frankly I was the one excited to find this place. I knew what I wanted.

I like the mee curry as you dont have that SEBU feeling after eating it which is good for prego mom like me.

Aliya always has her heart set on SOUP.

It was very easy for Syasya as well.

DH who was sooo spectical before he arrived, was preplex coz he didnt know what to order "everything so Penang menu, so how??"

Ha Ha Ha

But he settled for something Penang lah!

Our verdict? Our bowls and plates were LICIN clean so that has got to account for something he he he

Definately will be bringing Dad here for his mee curry.
