Although no hearts were broken but the idea of a FREE Chocolate Buffet by Beryl's seemed CRAZY enough to bring this die hard fan of chocolate go to the ends of the world (which is actually Bandar Baru Bangi) from Subang Jaya????

I actually gave my husband a wedding hantaran with chocolates from Beryl's. When asked, he didn't even remember. Baaah!
But actually...really, it was too good to be true that I HAD to see it for myself if there would be a chocolate fondue. Better yet, Aliya actually said to her grandma before we left, I'm going to willy wonka's Factory Opah!
So off to Willy Wanka of Malaysia we went and upon arriving, I could hardly recognized Bandar Baru Bangi at all (I studied in UKM) There were already a handful of cars parked infront of the factory and ample parking space I think is very very important for an event such as this.

As we parked our car and walked towards the entrance, which was a bit dissappointing for Aliya because I think she had expected the musical puppets LOL A nice young lady handed us a small plastic sauce plate. Yes. MINI SMALL ONE THAT YOU GET FROM MCDONALDS or A&W. That was already an indicator of this cannot be too good to be true..
So poof! with the Chocolate Fondue dreams or the Stream of Milk Chocolate were you can dip you feet in or little oompa loompas singing Rasa Sayang Eh :P
The line, well it was winding like anaconda and resembled a day at the Shah Alam Wet World Entrance or TGV in KLCC on weekends. That was around 3pm so I hardly know what it would be if we came there 1st thing in the morning but definately not later.
Why not later????? See for yourself folks! You'll be queuing outside the factory in the hot sun LOL
OK this buffet comes with a T&C
1.is open to public and staff.
2 eat all you can with no wastage.
3 strictly for dine-in only.
4.unfinished chocolate will be charge according to our selling price.
5 Beryl's reserve the rights to change the terms and conditions without prior notice.
The buffet table was not even 3meters long and there were only 4 to 5 pieces of free chocolate for what seemlike half an hour of queing.
So I really, I dont get the point of pay if there is any wastage. 4 to 5 pieces is like "celah gigi je" LOL
But I noticed they updated the status in Facebook about 2 hours ago.

1. 9.00 am - 10.00 am
2. 11.00 am - 12.00 am
3. 1.00pm - 2.00pm
4. 3.00pm - 4.00pm
Maybe they learn from what happened today? Well, there is hope I guess for those living nearby.
I would have prefered a paper plate. Good for environment and good for choc lovers who drove 22.1 km just to get there. A bit dissapointing when you see that tiny winy litul plastic sauce plate to put the so called BUFFET right? Ha Ha Ha I think they need to revise the promo to FREE CHOCOLATES and not CHOCOLATE BUFFET ok.
Anyway, I guess this is their marketing strategy to get people to hoarde chocolates as there was an endless stream of people buying them in the shop that the security guards had to shoo them off at one point.
DH hates crowded places but his soft kind heart actually ignored all that and bought me a box of assorments at RM14.30 and a box of strawberry flavored nuggets at RM5.30 ~ but hey, who's counting, it was prices especially it did ease the "dissappointment" of getting chocolates to soothe my celah gigi LOL
Seriously, although some people might think otherwise about MIC, but MIC Chinese New Year Open House is much much more better lah LOL
