Hujan

Demi Kerana Sayangkan Suami, hujan pun aku sanggup redah...ini kisah 24 March 2009 yg lepas.

Hajat di hati nak ke pasar. DH tak dapat cuti so I sent Sya to our most trusted babysitter Dayana. I took EL coz I am not too confident that Sya is well yet. At least kalau apa-apa I am at home just 10 minits from the babysitter's house. DH insisted that I got some rest from last night's ordeal and not to worry too much so he said hantar je Sya kat Dayana. Sepanjang malam tak tidur asyik check temperature Sya and basahkan badannya nak turunkan suhu.

Like I said. Hajat di hati nak ke pasar which is only 10 minits from the apartment. Tapi pagi-pagi sudah ini macam apa macam?

However I am thankful that its raining as it reduces the heat a bit. I pun da mula nak srot sret srot sret - flu la apa lagi.

Tapi makcik tengah suspend sekarang...asyik nak makan mangga muda, tomyam, laksa...sume masam2 je...

I had some for breakfast (coz borongs from Kuala Perlis) this is NOT highly approved by my mother. Kalau nampak mesti kena bebel punya. Gastik la..itu la..

Walau segantang coklat pun yang dibawa balik dari Langkawi, it cannot surpass that to ease my cravings. Habis licin menjilat jari.

9.30am dengan rasa tak sedap hati sebab takut banyak Apek2 pasar cabut balik, I redah sahaja. DH da lama tak makan Mee Bandung Tanjung Agas, so I decided as a suprise hari ni, bolehlah buat.

10.02am balik dari pasar habis lencun. Thats a sacrifice a wife makes I guess to prepare a nice meal for her husband. Moga Allah rahmati my efforts. kelenjenunan dan kaki menjadi sejukku.

Hasilnya :

DH senyum sampai ke telinga bila tau I masak Mee Bandung.

Kalau nak try buat, you can find it at my online cooking book - http://yokmakan.blogspot.com/

Button & Baby Husband

Whenever I look at Sya, a little bit of her reminds me of my husband. Especially the gapping mouth part. So cute...

That's why I cried when I saw the last bit of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The part where Kate Blanchett who plays Daisy held Benjamin Button in her arms, now a baby and at the end of his life. As the baby closes his eyes, she said something like "he knew it was me"

Come to think of it..Aren't all our husband babies sometimes..

The Legend Island - Coming Home

Our Family Holiday came to an end on Saturday.

Datuk said must pack early coz we will be taking an early ferry back to Kuala Perlis.

I didnt have time to take photos of the Jetty Point the time we arrive, so the opportunity was taken when Datuk sent back the car.

Everything here starts to remind me of home.

And even with shopping done by Datin the evening before our bags werent that much compared others (They said they wanted to go out to find LAKSA...so I was left with the kids...ghupe2nya Mak Datin pergi sopping sakan dgn Datuk...she even bribe me to bring some kain batik LOL)

Kakak gladly jadi porter for a day LOL

We also were glad there was Bread Story to buy breakfast to eat on the ferry

I noticed that Hj Ismail group ni kat mana-mana ada

Waiting room kat Jeti Kuah was faaaaaaaaaar out better than in Kuala Perlis...

We took a smaller and faster ferry...Datin was not amused...

The children seemed a bit sad though to leave the Island....I hope they had fun

Some more pics of the kids........

We were a bit confused since there was no announcement. The Ferry had docked at the Kuala Kedah part of the Jetty. Tapi typical la kan Malaysia.

Sya was not amused...LOL

There are only two rows of seats on the Bahagia 18

Ferry ni kecik sikit...so Datin amat takut bila ferry bergoyang-goyang

To encourage Kakak, asked her to take photos for me since she was by the window...which turn out GREAT...ada talent nampaknya. Proud of you Kakak!

Sampai Kuala Perlis....I had my mind set up

Kuah Rojak & those manggo mesti di borong!!

We had lunch there and I had the best ever ikan keli bendang goreng. Takde bau hanyir langsung!

Everyone was tired during the drive down to KL, especially me.

This is where I went to school....SP

So once in a while adalah orang tu SENTAP dgn mak dia..

"Talk to the hand"

Tapi hati perempuan kan lembut....

Baby Sya tak banyak meragam...which is good. Actually dapat susu 6oz senyap la dia...

Conclusion

I managed to follow my mother's footsteps in bringing my kids on their first holiday (Kakak was in KT and that's when she first stood up).

Baby Sya turn 7 months and her characters are OVERFLOWING....lots of babbling now.
(Makcik spotting a TWIGGY HAIRDO here, I might leave the fridge longer...LOL)

All in all...we are already planning our next holiday in June - Kakak's Birthday

Earth Hour 2009 – What Will You Be Doing?

Let there only be.....

Light from a Candle!

Earth Hour is about taking simple steps everyday that collectively reduce carbon emissions – from businesses turning off their lights when their offices are empty to households turning off appliances rather than leaving them on standby.

The Legend Island - Second Day Part 2

What is Langkawi good for if not for SHOPPING!!

I dont blame it when tourist say, Langkawi is too commercialized.

After having a heafty lunch at Harum Aroma Cafe we decided to drive down to KUAH for some shopping.

On the way there, Datin pointed out on how sexy this makcik was...

Actually lunch was too awesome, I wanted to doze off in the car. Sya was being a diva and wanted to sit up front - sebab ac lebih kuat katenye...

"Mommy..."

"Mommy tido ye..."

"Haa Mommy da bangun ye...."

"You wanna know something?"

"Aircond kat sini KUAT...he he he"

We forgot that since the last elections Kedah is now under PAS, so muslim shops on Fridays observe the Friday Solat hours. Of course tak dapat la Datin bershopping ke kedai Hj Ismail.

Instead we decided to borongs all the chocs and tuala and whatever at a nearby store that was opened.

Kakak could not find any LARGE smarties....she settled with M&Ms instead (yg mak dia da bedal 1/4 sebelum sampai KL)

I finally figured out how to pouch Sya infront like a kangaroo...beli benda ni bukannya murah. 3 months lepas da beli baru tau nak pakai camne :P

Its actually much more comfortable than it looks and I tak sakit belakang. Orang kat Langkawi sume cam pelik tengok I carry my daughter like dat...like "Look Maaaaa No hands!!"

Pro shutterbugs bawak beg isi lens....I bawak ANAK

It didnt take long to rain again, so Datuk bawak we all round the Island.

Makan Mahsuri now has a complex...coool...

When we got home, Kakak was beging to go swimming in the pool.

Adik was not impressed. Her voice screaming can be heard miles away....

Sampai Datin pun kuar wondering what the commotion was...

And because Adik cant swin...Kakak has an evil grin on her face...simply becoz she has her Moms attention all to herself

Kemana tumpahnya Kuah kalau tak ke nasik...

Sebab mak dia dulu pun swimmer masa kat skolah :P

Actually the pool was not well kept.

I wanted to bring Sya on another trip to the baby pool but when Aliya jerit "BERUDU!!!"

I decided hell NO!!

Actually it not berudu...but maybe some type of small fish

When I noticed that Aliya didnt smell at all CHLORINE, I knew there was something "fishy"

Inilah cara mereka maintain the pool...just top-up je air

Again...please make sure that your child is safe in the pool. Aliya had her "pelampung" thank goodness. Budak ni bukan takut depth TAU. But am a swimmer as well so I confident to jaga her. Reason being??

No lifeguard on duty

And the shower room was something from Elm Street...gruesome

I saw some stairs leading to the beach...maybe all is not lost. So we ventured

It was a nice walk...

Wah....ada resort atas air...

This is the beach we found

I told Kakak..."eh takmo aaa...mana tau depa berak terus masuk dalam ayaq laut!"

Definately...someone was not impressed.

Kakak had a few more laps....before deciding to go back to the room.

Adik was not impressed either....paksa Datuk jumpa Kakak at the entrance for a good lecturing that sounded like jealosy

Next will be our The Legend Island - Going Home...until then take care folks!
