Phenomenal Woman - I'm changing lives and making it better via Facebook

On April 14, actor Hugh Jackman pledged to give AUS $100,000 to the charity that could best convince him, via Twitter, that it was deserving of the award. On Friday, Jackman announced that, unable to decide, he had chosen two winners to split the prize: Operation of Hope, a medical foundation that donates surgical procedures to children in developing countries born with facial deformities, and Charity: Water, a non-profit dedicated to providing safe drinking water in developing countries.

One of the winning tweets came from Charity: Water president and founder Scott Harrison, who tweeted a link to a photo of a group of Ethiopian children holding up a hand-made sign with the simple message "Dear Mr. Hugh Jackman, thank you for helping us!" Harrison added: "dear @realhughjackman -- just snapped this near eritrean border at a school of 1400 w/o clean water."
"The whole world is changing because of social media," said Harrison, who was pleasantly surprised to learn of Jackman's donation. "It's really become a force for good and a great way to educate people. It's a powerful way to tell a story to hundreds of thousands of people."

I don't have that much money like Mr Jackman, all I have is a Facebook account and the skills to create and manage a group. I also have a team of Mommies with Big Hearts who are superb at online marketing. Our biggest success is AAE - a group myself and my bff from Sabah Fara created to instill awareness as well as understand and educate ourselves on our children's eczema. Our endless effort memang sangat membuahkan hasil. We created satu jaringan networking with Craig Jones the CEO of MooGoo, the director of Olivenol Malaysia as well as Dr. Yadav, Encik Rahman dan Dato' Dr. Sharifah Fauziah Alhabshi  from the Global Doctors Specialist Centre in Mont Kiara and the support of people form all walks of life like Dr Kent Woo, who is on the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.

SUPPORTING MALAYSIAN BABYWEARERS

I seriously never did imagine that it would be this big. All I was looking was for information to better manage Mimi's eczema and I did. But usually if you have a big heart there is a need to SHARE the love.

I have been approached by many untuk create lots of other support groups on facebook to lessen the gap, bring people closer together to create an awesome impact on their society and the condition they are facing - especially childhood illness/conditions such as G6PD to matters on providing support for women in a long distance relationship with their husband to how to make the best homemade baby food you know from local produce. I have been asked to morally support Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia or wanita yang terpaksa berjauhan dengan suami due to tugas and even provide my experiences with Diabetes during Pregnancy with GDM mothers. I've also been asked to fully support natural parenting methods such as breastfeeding and baby wearing.

Facebook in my definition has taken into a totally new level altogether. Of course there are hurdles, the are challenges and they are times when everything is so exhausting that I would like to pass the baton to someone else...but often enough I receive moral encouragement to keep on going - I just need to take that one foot outside the door inside and forgive Facebook for whatever hurt it has caused in the past. I may not be Huge Jackman but that doesn't mean I need to be a celebrity to create an impact in this world. But I cannot do it alone...I do need help. Come...find me there and help me and then you will know that social media CAN change and impact some so dramatically for the good :)
Phenomenal Woman
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say,
It's in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman

Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It's in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
